Re: BroadbandFor canadians to successfully participate in the digital economy then a discussion on Broadband must include the monthly data caps. Current monthly caps are not scaled appropriately for moderate cloud users. A canadian-cloud-family has their music in the cloud, their movies in the cloud and sometimes their work in the cloud. Besides documents we now have have apps that video stream 3D graphics. Current plans that double the speed to not double the Monthly cap consistently. Therefore, you can download fast but then run your internet connection for only a portion of the of day.Then there is the issue of the-internet-of-things with smart homes and appliances that will send even more data to the cloud with monthly data caps that were scaled for the 80s.
