We live in a rural area in central alberta that is serviced by Telus landline for phone and low speed internet and by a variety of co-op internet providers that provide low speed internet via antenna. In the last year, Telus installed a high speed fibre optic line patrallel to our residential area however approx 50 yards away from the village property line. When various community members requested improved internet service we were directed by Telus to fill out an expression of interest form. If they received "enough interest" they would then consider installing a spiur into our area. There is no vehicle on their form access website to allow any respondents a follow up or review of progress towards the Telus decision or if there is one pending. This hardly seems progressive to supplying updated or upgraded services. Here is a copy of the link to the fibre optic upgrade formhttps://fibre.telus.com/iwantfibre/
