Data transfer caps are the real problem in rural Manitoba. I can't subscribe to Netflix because I'll reach my 35 GB transfer cap in less than a week. ~5 mbps burst for 1 second and then 640 kbps for 9 or more seconds is typical for my ISP, High **** Crow. I'm already paying $58 plus tax per month. I hope that that their service does not qualify as broadband by CRTC's definition. It should be clear that 5 mbps is the sustained speed if that is what was intended. I'd say that the CRTC is putting the bar way too low as I can't use many current internet services, let alone any of the future ones.
