Interventions Phase 2: Intervenor 425

My main concern is the general discrepancy in internet quality and speed and cell phone availability for rural Canadians versus those in the cities. In this matter I feel penalized by the fact that I live in a rural situation. On our small island off BC we have very mixed availability and limited choice. Some pockets are unable to receive any cell phone signal, some areas have to use satellite internet connections while portions of the island are serviced by internet cable. If government, CRTC and providers could equalize availability as much as possible that would be great - after all, that is what telephones did. At the moment I have no option to switch to full time cell phone use. I have no option but to use satellite internet.
