I have been an MTS hi speed "lightning" internet customer for many years. I pay $56/month for this service, advertised to deliver up to 7 Mbps download and 0.768 Mbps upload. I have NEVER had download speed of even 4.9 Mbps or uploads over 0.43 Mbps. MTS has no plans (that they will share with me) to upgrade their system to allow me to get speeds approaching what I'm paying for, so it is hard to imagine that, by the end of 2015, they will be able to provide all of their customers with download speeds of 5 Mbps and uploads of 1 Mbps. It also seems to be unreasonable to charge me the same monthly rate as someone to whom they are providing over 40% faster service.
