I live only an 120 km's north of Montreal (Lantier, Quebec) but I am not able to pull in any television signals. My ONLY choice is cable services. I think that a local broadcaster should provide additional towers in order to serve adequately a radius of 120 km's, regardless of population and physical barriers/topography. I think that a 120 km radius from the principal emitting tower should be a minimum requirement. It also allows Canadians to get free over-the-air services of local programming...which in the end supports increased advertising revenues for the broadcaster...and further assists Canadians of limited financial means.
